COMMON ERROR: Failing to
maintain optimum AOA over the
top resulting in insufficient air-
speed to complete the maneuver.
(4) Bring nose through horizon, in-
verted
a.
Keep wings level
b.
Align on section line reference
c.
Fly on reciprocal of initial
heading for rest of maneuver
(5) Stop nose movement at 45-degree
nosedown attitude. This attitude
will feel like your feet are on the
horizon
(6) Roll upright and wings level
(7) Continue in 45-degree dive and
accelerate so as to recover at
entry airspeed
(8) Use 4-g pull to horizon during
recovery
COMMON ERROR: Relaxing 4-g
back stick pressure before com-
pleting the maneuver.
(9) Complete maneuver with
180 degrees of heading change
at 380 KIAS
COMMON ERROR: Failing to
attain 380 KIAS on completion of
the maneuver.
