Crosswind Landing
Stress sensitivity of T-45C to crosswinds for early stage
Fams.
*Look at the windsock in the
groove before each landing
*Crab as appropriate into the
wind so as to track straight
down the runway
*Kick the crab out and center
the rudder just prior to
touchdown
*A late crab kick is preferable to
an early one because of
ensuring lateral drift
*Enough stick into the wind on
touchdown to hold wings level
*Fly the airplane until reaching
walking speed
