No Flap/Slat Landing
1.
Transition from full flap/slat to no flap/slat
configuration while on upwind leg-raise
*Simulates HYD1 failure with
flaps/slats while accelerating through 140
less than 2,000 psi brake
KIAS, wings level, above 200 ft AGL
accumulator pressure; speed
brakes are not used
2.
Turn downwind utilizing approximately
*Raise flaps upwind at 140
160 KIAS
KIAS
a.
With proper interval
*Once flaps retracted, turn
downwind at 160 KIAS; (<17
units)
b.
At or above 300 ft AGL
*Fly normal pass, with
c.
When cleared by Tower
exception of wider abeam
distance
3.
Establish downwind leg at 1.5-1.75 nm
*Make a minimum rate of
abeam
descent landing on runway
centerline
4.
Maintain optimum AOA--remember air-
speed will be approximately 35 KIAS faster
than for full flap/slat landings
5.
Complete landing checklist prior to abeam
and verify AOA/airspeed
6.
At 180-degree position, roll into 25 to 27
degree AOB turn
7.
At 135-degree position, have established a
200 to 300 fpm rate of descent to reach 90
at 500 ft AGL
8.
Passing through the 90, increase rate of
descent to 500 fpm to reach 45 at 375 to
400 ft AGL
9.
Maintain rate of descent and AOB to roll out
on extended runway centerline on glides-
lope
10. Increase rate of descent to 700 fpm when
on glideslope
