when in close may result in too steep a
descent or overcontrolling the aircraft,
causing a low ball, a hard landing, or the
possibility of hitting the ramp when landing
on the ship.

Low and on-speed: add power and raise
nose attitude to maintain optimum AOA. As
the ball reaches center, reduce power to
reestablish glideslope and readjust nose
attitude to maintain optimum AOA. Add a
small amount of power to keep from going
low again. Never accept a low ball
