approach to a touch & go, then depart in compliance
with the clearance issued. You are behind schedule
and decide you want an overhead recovery. On
contact with Meridian approach (Button 14)

PAPA, requesting the overhead at
NAVY Meridian”
Meridian Approach:
“NAVY 1 ALPHA 135, roger.
Turn right heading 155
vectors to the initial runway
19L at McCain, maintain
2500”
29. You read back and comply with the clearance.
When McCain Field boundaries are in sight you call
Meridian Approach:
“Meridian Approach, NAVY 1
ALPHA 135, field in sight”
Meridian Approach:
“NAVY 1 ALPHA 135, roger.
Contact Tower frequency
340.2”
30. You roger Approach and contact Meridian tower
“Tower, NAVY 1 ALPHA 135, is
5 mile initial for the break”
Meridian Tower: “NAVY 1 ALPHA 135, roger.
Report the numbers”
31. You align the aircraft slightly to the right of the
runway and descend to 1400 ft MSL. At the
numbers you call:
“Tower, NAVY 1 ALPHA 135,
numbers for the break”
