Joint Undergraduate Navigator Training (JUNT)
b. Intermediate SNFO. The completion of the Intermediate phase
of training qualifies the students for subsequent training in one
of the following courses:
(1) Airborne Tactical Data Systems (ATDS)
(2) Advanced Core. The completion of the Core stage of
advanced training qualifies the students for subsequent training in
one of the following courses:
(a) Advanced Strike
(b) Advanced Strike-Fighter
c. The Advanced portion of the ATDS course and the JUNT course
are taught outside of the Naval Air Training Command.
206. SNFO ASSIGNMENT CRITERIA. Assignment of SNFOs to further
training is made in accordance with the following criteria:
the number of students assigned to each course.
b. Student Performance. Student performance is the second most
influential factor in determining the specific course to which a
student is assigned.
c. Student Preference. Upon completion of Primary, Intermediate
and Advanced Core flight syllabi, students shall indicate pipeline
preference on locally generated forms provided in student control.
d. Anthropometric Restrictions. Anthropometric restriction
codes and compatibility requirements must be met in accordance with
OPNAVINST 3710.37. Students requiring a fit check for any NATRACOM
training aircraft may not be reported as complete from Primary and
will not be selected to a pipeline until fit checks are complete.
e. Inputs and Reassignments. CNATRA (N32) shall disseminate
annual NFO Training Requirements. COMTRAWING SIX shall manage
student assignment to attain these goals.
f. United States Air Force Students. USAF student pipeline,
assignment, and quota management is accomplished by Air Education
and Training Command.
g. International Military Students. International military
students are assigned in accordance with the requirements specified
in their ITOs.
