Spring-loaded detent initiates engine
starting sequence
(1) GTS accelerates to 100%,
supplying air to starter
(2) Air turbine starter (ATS) rotates
N2 shaft
(3) The rpm should rise rapidly to
approximately 10%
Rotation advisory light illuminates
within 15 seconds
(4) ROTATION advisory light:
Indicates that N1 shaft is rotating
in correct direction with shaft
speed >100 rpm (igniters' firing
signal has been sent to IGNITION
switch) and that starting sequence
may continue
