Fuel shutoff handle - LOCKED
(DOWN)
CAUTION: If the fuel shutoff handle is
discovered to be DOWN during pre-flight it is

possible that the throttle may also have been

out of the OFF position and that fuel has
been allowed to drain into the combustion
chamber. To prevent ignition of pooled fuel
in the combustion chamber, which could
lead to a start malfunction, a clear engine
procedure should be performed.

CAUTION: If MANUAL fuel is
selected in either cockpit prior to
engine start, the MANUAL FUEL
advisory light will not be illuminated
until after the throttle is placed to
idle and fuel flow is indicated.
