(1) Type of approach (precision or surveillance)
(2) Runway
EXAMPLE: “This will be a precision approach to runway three five.”
(3) Advisory to perform landing check (USN/USMC controllers only)
EXAMPLE: “Perform landing check.”
(4) At least one position
EXAMPLE: “Base leg, nine miles southwest of airport.”
(5) Missed approach instructions
EXAMPLE: “Your missed approach instructions are...”
c.
Must provide on final approach
(1) Communications check
EXAMPLE: “This is Kingsville final controller. How do you hear?”
(2) Wheels-down check (all controllers)
EXAMPLE: “Wheels should be down.”
(3) Acknowledgment
EXAMPLE: “You need not acknowledge further transmissions.”
