Flap/slat control inoperative — a no flap/slat
landing is required
4.
Set landing gear handle - DOWN
a.
Pull Emergency Landing Gear Handle
b.
If necessary, perform positive/
negative-G and yawing maneuvers to
ensure a down-and-locked gear
condition
5.
Be alert for the following light signals from
the control tower
a.
Steady green — Cleared to land
b.
Flashing green — Return for landing
(to be followed by a steady green at
the proper time)
c.
Steady red — Give way to other
aircraft and continue circling
d.
Flashing red — Airport unsafe; do
NOT land
e.
Alternating green and red —
Exercise extreme caution
6.
If the engine flames out, it CANNOT be
restarted
