Perform TACAN BIT: if TACAN is
working properly, range counter
indicates 0 +/- 1 nm and bearing
indication is approximately 180
degrees
2.
If TACAN bearing not available
a.
Select VOR for bearing information if
available
b.
Use TACAN DME information if
available
c.
Report TACAN loss to ATC
3.
If total NAVAID failure (no TACAN or VOR)
a.
Navigate using visual procedures
b.
Use waypoints as an aide to navigation
c.
Request radar vectors if available
d.
Report loss of NAV systems to ATC
e.
Inform Safety Pilot
