Navigation procedure
(1) At FAF
(a) Start clock
(b) Report FAF with gear
(2) At MDA
(a) Maintain course
(b) Monitor clock for MAP
NOTE: The timing from the
FAF to the MAP is based on
ground speed.

Aircraft control
(1) At FAF
(a) Extend speed brakes (if not
already extended)
(b) Reduce power to establish a
rate of descent (not to exceed
1,000 fpm) that will ensure
reaching MDA prior to MAP.
Adjust nose attitude as
necessary to maintain on-
speed AOA
(c) Use normal lead point
(10 percent of VSI) for level
off at MDA
(2) At MDA
(a) Maintain altitude
(b) Begin "inside/outside" scan
