NOTE: It is prudent to set the ILS
course so that the course line deviation
represents the actual ILS approach

or waypoint offset steering is selected,
the course deviation line displays
TACAN, waypoint or waypoint offset
course deviation

HUD
a.
The localizer and glideslope steering

needles displayed are the same ILS
needles displayed on the ADI

Both steering needles are referenced
to the velocity vector, and are
commensurate with the deviation
displayed on the ADI

Steering needles will flash when they
