Apply just enough rudder inputs in both
directions to move nose wheel
11. Use nose wheel steering to turn out of final
checker. Remember to reduce power to
IDLE and observe tail pipe courtesy prior to
turning
NOTE: Maintain enough momentum to
complete turn--an aircraft allowed to stop
midway in turn will require excessive power
to begin moving again.

Procedures: operate rudder pedals
1.5.1.3.4
(1) Low gain (+/- 12 degrees)
(a) Depress right rudder to turn
aircraft right
(b) Depress left rudder to turn
aircraft left
NOTE: The nose gear returns
to the center position upon
release of the rudder pedals.
(2) High gain (+/- 65 degrees)
(a) Press NWS button
(b) Verify NOSE WHL STR
advisory light illuminated
(c) Depress right rudder to turn
aircraft right
