Perform normal brake check: when taxiing
out of chocks and when signaled "brakes-
on" by taxi director, pull throttle to IDLE and
press brake pedals to stop the aircraft.
This is the check for proper operation of
wheel brakes and nose strut
5.
Receive "install chocks" and final checker's
signal
NOTE: Do not operate any aircraft
equipment unless directed by the final
checker.
LECTURE NOTES
Stress the importance of safety while moving hydrauli-
cally operated flight controls and how they could be
hazardous to ground crew. Use specific examples
when describing possible checker's instructions.

Receive thumbs-up from final checker upon
check completion
7.
Give the "remove chocks" signal
8.
Communicate to base (to report aircraft
status): "Base, Bass one seven zero is out
of line."
9.
Move ahead at Plane Captain's direction
10. Check nose wheel steering 1.5.1.3.1
NOTE: Do not engage NWS until complete
with final checks.
