(1) High gain NWS is for aircraft taxi
only
(2) Emergency landing gear extension
(a) NWS disabled even with
normal HYD 1 pressure
(b) NWS restored by returning
forward cockpit emergency
gear handle to its stowed
position, and normal HYD 1
pressure available
(3) Launch bar extension prevented if
nose-wheel angle is greater than
30 degrees off center with weight
on wheels
(4) NOSE WHL STR caution light
illuminates during nose wheel
steering failure, system shuts
down, and nose wheel is free to
caster
