Lesson Organization
NOTE: When contacting Kingsville Approach for recovery,
aircrew should state, "Kingsville Approach, call sign, radial/
DME from NQI, coded recovery, and current ATIS."
NOTE: Kingsville Approach may request aircrew to "IDENT,"
to confirm aircraft position. After initial contact, aircrew
should advise Approach if any deviation from normal coded
recovery, such as low initial, straight-in, or 360-degree turns
for altitude reduction, is desired.

VFR
1.
Attempt to contact Kingsville Approach Control at
least 25 miles from the airfield for TOPS VFR radar
service to the VFR traffic pattern
NOTE: VFR recoveries apply only to aircraft returning
from the alert areas below the MOA or airspace within
the lateral confines of the alert areas and aircraft
returning from Kings IV or Kings V MOAs when transiting
within the altitude and lateral confine structure described
for "local VFR areas."
