FLIGHT PREPARATION
In preparing for an instrument flight in the simulator or aircraft, you should first look at the Briefing Guide to
determine what maneuvers and tasks you’ll be responsible for during the flight. Based on the contents of
the Briefing Guide, consult the FTI, the T-45C NATOPS manual, and your other study materials to gain a
full understanding of the procedures and maneuvers before you climb in the cockpit.
Simulator time and especially flight time are precious resources: always employ this training time as
efficiently and effectively as possible. The time to study is before the flight.
