Instructor Resource Demand
Measurement Definition: The number of instructors required by CNATRA
to accomplish the OPNAV assigned pilot and NFO training rates.
Calculation: Instructor Demand = The Basic Allowance (BA) of
qualified squadron instructors necessary to accomplish the training
requirements assigned by the Chief of Naval Operations.
Basic Allowance = The number of instructors required to man training
squadrons based on peace time planning factors as validated and
adjusted by CNET efficiency reviews.
Instructors on Board = Qualified flight instructors assigned to VT and
HT Unit Identification Codes (UIC's). This number does include
Instructors Under Training (IUT's), Wing staff, SELRES, or other
flight instructors who may provide part time instruction.
Instructors on Board W/O IUT's = Qualified flight instructors assigned
to VT and HT Unit Identification Codes (UIC's). This number does not
include Instructors Under Training (IUT's). Does include Wing staff,
SELRES, or other flight instructors who may provide part time
instruction.
