What are the five "Cs" to remember if you become
lost with radio operable?
ANSWER:
1. Confess: admit to yourself and safety pilot/controller
2. Climb: climb to optimum altitude for fuel
conservation and improved visibility
3. Conserve: slow aircraft to maximum endurance
airspeed (215 KIAS and 17,500 ft) to conserve fuel
4. Communicate: maintain contact with controller/night
safety pilot of situation and stand by for instructions
5. Comply: follow all instructions from controller/night
safety pilot
