ON and pitot heat/landing light as required.

LECTURE NOTES
Stress the importance of using primarily an outside
scan during takeoff phase to detect and correct any
line up deviations as early as possible. Also, stress
clearing for other aircraft.

Check line speed to ensure predicted
speed at selected distance marker
(aircraft performance check)
NOTE: Takeoff data are normally
computed during the brief (using
procedures learned in AERO) and
then used during the takeoff phase. If
takeoff parameters change; however,
verify performance using the pocket
checklist (PCL).
m. Check maximum abort speed (refusal
speed) for abort decision
