HEFOE signals -- HEFOE is an acronym for
HYDRAULIC system, ELECTRICAL system,
FUEL system, OXYGEN system, ENGINE
system. Hand signals used between airborne
aircraft to identify aircraft systems when action
is required or difficulties exist with different
aircraft systems
To initiate a HEFOE signal give an exaggerated
weeping signal (Wristwatch on forehead), then
show a number of fingers to indicate which
system is referenced
