(3) Report “Numbers” and turn downwind as
Tower directs, maintaining altitude until
established downwind, then descend to
pattern altitude

STANDARD DOWNWIND ENTRY
(1) Contact Tower and request a “Downwind
Entry ”
(2) If approved, enter the Class D Airspace at
200’ to 300’ above the pattern altitude
(3) Determine interval for sequencing and
enter the downwind traffic pattern 45
degrees off-heading
(4) Descend to pattern altitude after
established downwind
