VFR-ON-Top
Lesson Organization
1.
Operations in the Meridian 1 West MOA
a.
When VFR-On-Top conditions exist within the
Meridian ONE West MOA, the first aircraft to
enter shall inform Memphis Center of the lowest
workable altitude within the lateral confines of
the assigned working area. This will allow
Memphis Center to relay weather conditions to
other inbound MOA traffic upon check-in
b.
During VFR-On-Top conditions all aircraft
entering area 4 shall climb within the climb
corridor (NMM 360-010 radials, 12-25 NM).
Turning to working areas shall not be made until
VFR and 2500 ft above cloud layer or 17,500 ft
MSL as appropriate
c.
If cloud clearance can be maintained, the areas
