entry at Joe Williams Field (NJW) and the Carrier pattern
entry.
ANSWER: (1) You MUST REQUEST CARRIER PATTERN
ENTRY on initial contact with NJW tower: (2) the hard altitude at
the numbers and during the level break is 300 ft lower for the
Carrier Pattern.

After lifting off from your last touch and go landing on RWY
31 at NJW what are the procedures to return to McCain IFR.
ANSWER: Leaving 1100 ft MSL, turn right heading 070 when
RWY 19 is in use at NMM, or turn left heading 150 when RWY
01 is in use at NMM. Altitude will be assigned upon release.

area and above 10,000 ft MSL until clearance given
by Memphis Center

Monitor ATIS to determine the conditions at NMM/
NJW prior to commencing your recovery
3.
Within the Area, commence descent to 9000 ft MSL.
This puts you in the middle of the 8000 ft -10,000 ft
layer of the MOA reserved for recoveries
