This alerts other aircraft that your working area
is vacant and the recovery layer has an aircraft
in transit. It also alerts Memphis Center, who
monitors the area frequency that contact with
traffic seeking recovery at NMM/NJW is
imminent

The T-45 has dual radios which permit leap-
frogging frequency switches. -- You can
continue to monitor the old frequency while
tuning the new frequency on the second radio.
In the event you are unable to establish contact
on the new frequency, the old frequency is still
tuned
You can also continue to monitor Area
frequency while transiting under center control
and communicating on Memphis Center
frequency

Contact Memphis Center
a.
Do not descend below 9000 ft MSL before
clearance is received from Memphis Center.
Once clearance received, descend to 8000 ft
assigned altitude
b.
On contact with Memphis Center indicate the
type of arrival requested -- IFR/VFR
