Course Rules
NOTE: Each coded departure (LID) has a specific use.
The DANCY LID is the primary means of reaching Area 4
of the Meridian 1 West MOA. The UNION LID provides
the primary means for entry into Area 1A, Area 1C and
Area 2 of the the Meridian 1 West MOA. The SONIE
departure provides entry to Area 1B and Area 3 of the
Meridian 1 West MOA. The SHARK LID provides
ingress and egress for R4404. Each of these four LIDs
will be presented in detail in this lesson. For LIDs:

Takeoff Runway 19R
Runway 19R
Fly runway heading. Intercept NMM R-193 to
the 10 DME arc between 4000 and 10,000 feet.
Turn right via 10 DME arc. Cross NMM R-265
between 8000 and 10,000 feet. Intercept and
proceed outbound via NMM R-007

Takeoff Runway 01R
Fly outbound NMM R-007. Cross NMM 10
Overlay 1
DME between 4000 and 10,000 feet. Cross
Sg 2, fr 2A2, ovl 1
NMM 13 DME between 8000 and 10,000 feet

Takeoff Runway 10
Fly heading 090 to intercept NMM 10 DME arc
Overlay 2
between 4000 and 10,000 feet. Turn left via 10

DME arc. Cross NMM R-023 between 8000
and 10,000 feet. Intercept and proceed
outbound via NMM R-007

BACKUP DANCY LID -- Used when NMM
Ch 56 is inoperative
Fly runway heading, vectors to “RAINY”
(MEI 020047). Once cleared by Center,
proceed from “RAINY” direct to Hwy 45
climbing to 17,500 MSL. Then to assigned
area
