Section integrity
a.
Lead: maintain mutual support while optimizing offensive/
defensive capability of the section
b.
Wingman--maintain combat spread
(1) Proper bearing in order to maintain most effective
visual cross coverage
(2) Distance abeam based upon weather and tactics
(3) Altitude as appropriate
4.
Communication: lead/wingman ensure strict radio discipline
which includes brief, clear and concise transmissions limited to
tactical/safety responses
5. Flight safety: lead/wingman ensure the safe execution of
combat spread maneuvers utilizing effective lookout doctrine
6.
Navigation: maneuvers the section in a tactical environment to
and from the area
