Procedure away from wingman 5.7.1.3.3.2.1
WARNING: If wingman commences cruise turn away from
an acute/close position and does not get nose behind the
lead while turning for the 2,000-ft window, the geometry of
the wingman's flight path will take the aircraft very close to
the lead, thus causing potential for a midair.
a.
Lead: "[Call sign] right/left 90"
b.
Wingman: acknowledge "Two"
c.
Lead: begin 30-degree AOB turn, maintain altitude and
300 KIAS
d.
Wingman
(1) Turn toward inside of lead's turn using 45 to
60 degrees AOB, accelerating by lowering nose slightly
(2) After 45 degrees of turn, pass about 2,000 ft aft and
slightly below lead with 15-20 degree heading
advantage and 25-30 kt (max 50 kt) airspeed
