Procedures
1.
Preflight and pre-takeoff preparation
a.
Identify frequencies used by ATC and ensure compatibility
with communication equipment
b.
Determine if your aircrafts performance is adequate to
adhere to all restrictions
c.
Identify routes, altitude, and specific restrictions
NOTE: When accepting a SID, you must comply with all
requirements and restrictions unless ATC amends it.
2.
Changes to clearance
a.
Amendments to initial clearance will be issued any time
ATC deems such action necessary to avoid possible
conflict between aircraft, hazardous weather, etc.
NOTE: When a SID is changed, confirm what part of the
SID is still in effect.
b.
Cancellation: to reinstate, departure control must state
portion of SID routing that still applies and restate altitude
restrictions
