A. Students need to have a complete NFAM route chart to
include bingo headings and fuel required
II. Brief items 21.2.1.1
A. Night emergencies
B. Internal and external lighting
C. Importance of flying correct airspeed
NOTE: IP chase may adjust speeds to keep solos in sight.
D. Departure VFR squawk for night route
NOTE: Solos get own squawks.
E. Students should start turn toward Falfurrias passing
2,000 ft
F. Make sure charts match and that headings are the same
G. Brief students when to start turn--usually center of town
H. Altitude 4.5 miles west and 3.5 miles east
NOTE: Solos no lower than 3,000 ft.
I. Procedures for planning divert/emergency airfield for NFam
route of flight
J. Procedures for performing bingo profile
L. Procedures for controllability check (midair/bird strike/
structural failure)
