Night Familiarization Chase Procedures
MOTIVATION
In NFam flights, students practice dead reckoning and pilotage
skills on a local night familiarization route. Attention is given to
heading and airspeed control and night awareness while
maintaining situational awareness on the night route.
Night instructor chase pilots will ensure that the students maintain
situational awareness and route integrity while completing the
night route.
