Approach Fix, report commencing the
approach.

NOTE: If the aircraft is in RADAR
contact, the final approach fix report is
not mandatory unless requested.
However, in a non-precision approach,
the final approach fix is the point
where military aircraft should report the
gear down. A civilian controller will not
remind you of a gear-down report.
Remember, "Tower" must clear you to
land. The tower controls the duty
runway and surrounding airspace.
