Breakaway cross
a. Big "X" over center of display
b. Appears when a 1.5-sec reaction time followed by 2-g/sec pull to a sustained 4-g pullup
would not allow the aircraft to recover above 1,000 AGL

Removed when aircraft starts climb
d. Operates only at dive angles greater than 15 degrees
e. If you perform the weapons pattern correctly, you will never see the breakaway cross; if
you do see it, initiate recovery immediately

a. Flashing "W" over display
