Weapons
5. Press DATA after entering field elevation; get WD prompt
6. Key in target wind direction; use 3 digits (limits: 000 to 359)
7. Press ENT to get WS prompt
8. Key in target wind speed (limits: 0 to 99)
9. Press ENT to get TH (target height or elevation) prompt
10. Key in target elevation (limits: 0 to 9,999)
11. Press ENT to complete cycle
12. Invalid data (out of limits) cause digits to flash; press CLR to replace with previous value
and then key in valid digits
13. Do not hold any key longer than 10 sec; doing so gives a failure indication of a stuck key
C. Procedure for sight depression angle
1. Set weapons selector to BOMBS or GUN A/G
NOTE: Safety regulations may require you to set the weapons selector while airborne.
2. Press SET DEP, "+" to raise value, "-" to lower value (initial value 140 mils; limits: 0 to
270 mils)
3. Values change slowly when SET DEP is first pressed; after 2 seconds they change rapidly
4. Do not hold SET DEP longer than 30 seconds; doing so gives a failure indication of a stuck
key

Flashing reticle (approximately 3 Hz): not a failure; out of maximum slant range for
CCIP guns

No reticle: exceeding data limit or HUD failure

Exceeding data limit (CCIP only): reticle returns when data acceptable to DEU; reticle
may go on and off irregularly
b.
Failure in system: reticle does not return when aircraft is on straight flight path
