SECTION VII
INSTRUCTIONS FOR COMPLETING TRAWING COCKPIT CHARTS
1. The following instructions apply to the TRAWING Cockpit Chart
Templates that are provided separately on disk to the wings. These
instructions are general in nature and the individual analyst's
techniques with Excel spreadsheets should be applied to provide the
best and most consistent product possible.
2. The charts are to be completed using colored lines. The center
panels depicting output will be completed with a single solid black
line using no point markers showing REQUIREMENT. A dark blue dashed
line will be used to depict the OUTPUT PLAN. A green solid line using
solid circle point markers will be used to depict actual output.
Output projections will be a dashed green line with open circle point
markers. For baseline and entitlements use a dotted black line for
baseline information and a dotted dark green line for entitled. All
Cycle Time calculations should be shown in a red solid line with solid
diamond point markers for actuals AND a dashed red line with open
diamond point markers for projections. FPY data is shown in a blue
line with open circle point markers for projections. If multiple
Cycle Times and FPY are to be shown on the same chart, use orange for
the second Cycle Time and a light green for FPY and incorporate the
point markers described above.
3. The panel depicting Xs reqd vs Xs flown will be a solid black line
using "X" point markers.
4. Resource panels will be completed with solid black lines with
solid circle point markers.
5. All charts depicting DCT (Dynamic Cycle Time) and output will have
projections for the remaining production period. If the production
period is a FY, projections for the entire FY are required. All other
charts will have six-month projections.
6. For charts such as "Xs Reqd vs Xs Comp" that depict a single piece
of information, use blue for the basic information.
7. All projections of future data should be entered as a dashed green
line. Line markers may be used to more accurately depict data points
if desired by the TRAWING Commodore.
CENTER PANELS
The center panel(s) 9 and 10 will depict THE REQUIREMENT as
provided by CNATRA, which is derived from the CNO direction on
REQUIREMENT for FRS production. Also the PRODUCTION PLAN as
determined and approved by CNATRA will be depicted on a monthly basis.
The ACTUAL line will be extended and labeled "PROJECTED" to the end of
the production year. The ACTUAL and PROJECTED lines will be of
different color. The following color scheme will be used unless
