1. In the event of a minor injury, the
instructor/staff member shall provide immediate aid. If
necessary, and deemed that it will not cause further injury, the
student shall be moved from the training environment and sent to
see a corpsman.
2. If deemed necessary by the corpsman to send
the student to the clinic, the victim will be escorted.
3. If the injury does not require medical
attention, the student will be provided with proper care and
returned to training.
(d) Major injury:
1. If a student is seriously injured, the
instructor/staff members shall provide first aid to prevent
further injury to the victim. When available, a corpsman will
immediately take charge of the treatment.
2. Simultaneously with the above, the
instructor/staff shall designate another instructor or senior
student to call an ambulance.

is located on all instructors' clipboards

3. The individual reporting the injury should
give his name, location of the victim, and type of injury (if
known) and other pertinent/or requested information.
4. Once the ambulance is requested, the caller
will remain on the phone and answer all questions as well as
possible, and will be the last to hang up in the event there are
additional questions. Upon completion of the call, the caller
shall notify the attending instructor/staff member that an
ambulance is en route. The caller will then direct the
ambulance to the desired location.
(e) Notify NASC CDO and NACCS Chain of Command.
(f) Reports. An accident report shall be filed per
current NAVAVSCOLSCOM Instruction 5101.1.
