INSTRUCTIONAL MANAGEMENT PLAN
1.
Course Management Data
a. Staff Requirements. Based on maximum student throughput
of 25 per year, Naval Aircrew Candidate School (NACCS) and
associated support staff will require no additional billets.
(1) For all Naval Aviation Water Survival Training
Program (NAWSTP) training evolution's, staffing shall be per the
NAWSTP Instructional Management Plan.
(2) For all first aid and CPR training evolutions,
instructors shall be properly certified per American Red Cross
standards. When possible, two hospital corpsmen (NEC 8406) shall
be assigned as primary classroom instructors.
b. Facilities Requirements. The classrooms/training pools
shall meet the following requirements:
(1) Classrooms/instructional areas:
(a) Properly heated, ventilated, and lighted
classrooms.
(b) Visual displays and training aids required to
support the curriculum.
(c) Audiovisual equipment (Proxima System, video
cassette player, and monitor...etc.), required to support the
curriculum.
(d) Sufficient quantities of safety, first aid, and
lifesaving equipment to ensure student safety.
(2) Training pool requirements:
(a) A heated swimming pool, 25 yards in length
water maintained between 80 and 84 degrees Fahrenheit.
(b) Water quality maintained per Chapter 4 of the
Naval Preventative Medicine Manual (NAVMED P-5010-4).
(c) Adequate emergency lighting.
(d) Adequate dressing rooms and rest room facilities.
