Familiarization Flight Procedures
REFRESHER
The T-34C required you to fly primarily by the nose in the
landing pattern. The T-45C will require you to coordinate
throttle and stick movements to land the aircraft within
specified Navy requirements.

VFR Pattern
A. Monitor ATIS prior to leaving MOA. Make a
courtesy call to other aircraft: "Bass one seven

B. Communicate (to request coded recovery while

C. Navigate: Turn toward home field and begin a

with Information Charlie"
E. Report field-in-sight to Approach Control and
switch to Tower/ squawk standby, when directed
F. Maneuver IAW course rules to arrive at initial 5
nm from approach end of active runway on
extended centerline at 2,100 ft MSL. Accelerate
to between 250-300 kts at the initial
