Radial to arc intercept
a.
When intercepting an arc from a heading significantly more
or less than 90 degrees from the arc, an adjustment should
be made to the result of the formula for arc intercepts
(1) Use 1% for a turn of approximately 90 degrees
(2) For a turn of approximately 45 degrees, use 1/3 of that
required for 90 degrees
(3) For a turn of approximately 60 degrees, use 2/3 of that
required for 90 degrees
(4) For turns of less than 30 degrees, very little lead is
required
