Introduction to Radio Instruments
Sg 20, fr 2
* Safety/emergency procedures
- Partial panel approaches
- Minimum fuel/emergency fuel
- Emergency oil instrument approach
- NAVAID failure
D.
NAVAID failure 2.7.4.2.1.1
1.
Total navigation aid failure is unlikely as the T-45A is equipped
with both TACAN and VOR
a.
Loss of either system requires that you must notify ATC of
any loss of a primary navigation system
b.
If you lose both systems, notify ATC and request
assistance. Usually, they will be able to give you radar
vectors to VMC or to a landing site
