CNATRA COCKPIT CHART PREPARATION PROCEDURE
SECTION I
INTRODUCTION
1.
Purpose
a. A fundamental part of the Naval Aviator Production Process
Improvement (NAPPI) is a reporting system that provides an accurate,
and proactive, picture of actual events in CNATRA. Integral to this
reporting system are "cockpit charts" which depict performance
measures selected by the Naval Aviation Production Team (NAPT)
designed to best reflect training events and issues.
b. A key element of the cockpit chart is its ability to reflect
the linkage between levels of the process to provide a hierarchy of
measures. This hierarchical approach expands the performance measures
as they descend through the organization to reflect current
performance and predict future events. This linkage, called "drill
down", is critical to assure that the right information is reflected
accurately to senior leaders.
c. This document describes the logic behind, layout,
organization, information sources, and change procedures for the
CNATRA TRAWING charts to be used for reporting periodic performance
instructions, CNATRA and TRAWING specific definitions, and a glossary
of terms for completing the appropriate cockpit charts.
definitions are the source for all measurement definitions and are
attached. Definitions applicable to TRAWING level charts are also
attached.
4. Distribution. Copies of this SOP will be located in each CNATRA
Training Air Wing with the TRAWING analyst. Local reproduction is
authorized.
