(5) Coast Guard student pilot assignments are coordinated

through liaison between the Commandant of the Coast Guard and the

appropriate COMTRAWING.

b. Procedure. All Navy students will be detailed shortly

before designation as a Naval Aviator, with class standing

derived from the following formulas using Navy Standard Scores:

STRIKE/E2/C2 COMPOSITE SCORE = ((INTERMEDIATE ACADEMIC + ADVANCED

ACADEMIC)/2) + (INTERMEDIATE FLIGHT) + (ADVANCED FLIGHT x 2)

STRIKE TS COMPOSITE SCORE = (TS ACADEMIC) + (TS FLIGHT x 3)

MARITIME COMPOSITE SCORE = (ADVANCED ACADEMIC) + (INTERMEDIATE

FLIGHT) + (ADVANCED FLIGHT x 2)

HELO COMPOSITE SCORE=(ADVANCED ACADEMIC) + (ADVANCED FLIGHT x 3)

NFO COMPOSITE SCORE = ((PRIMARY FLIGHT + INTERMEDIATE FLIGHT)/2)

c. Navy Maritime and Strike Student Pilots. Commensurate

with composite scores, completion dates and available billets,

NPC will strive to assign each graduating naval aviator his/her

first choice of duty, through direct liaison with TRAWING Student

Control Officer. Students shall submit two copies of the Officer

Preference and Personal Information Card, NAVPERS 1301/1,prior to

completing curriculum. The Anthropometric Code, commissioning

source, obligated service, and whether or not the student has an

aviation vision waiver shall be entered in the remarks section.

Students may make changes in their preference cards prior to

issuance of written orders, usually within 3 weeks of receiving

the advanced flight grades. The TRAWING Student Control Officer

will coordinate any unexpected delays or changes in orders with

NPC and CNATRA Student Control Officer.

d. Report. Naval Aviation Officers' Training Completion Report,

RCS CNATRA 1210-1. In order to establish obligated service and

date of designation, where applicable, a listing of all aviators

and naval flight officers who have completed training shall be

submitted to CNATRA (N321). This report includes Marine Corps

students and shall be submitted by the COMTRAWINGs. The report

shall be prepared as shown in Appendix B and will be forwarded to

CNATRA by the 20th of the month.
