The Wagon Wheel Weapons Pattern

The wagon wheel weapons pattern will be introduced and practiced during the division weapons

flight. The wagon wheel pattern affords excellent training because it develops consistency and

permits the greatest degree of safety while maximizing the use of range time. Aircraft positions

in the wagon wheel pattern (Figure 8-6) are relative to the target. Accurate and timely pattern

comms are essential for situational awareness.
