OFFSET POP ATTACK
The offset pop attack is a tactic that enables a section to conduct a coordinated two-plane attack
on the same target from the same axis (Figure 6-15). The offset pop attack will be executed
from the tac wing formation (previously introduced in figure 6-4).
Approaching the target, the lead will offset the target with an oblique pop maneuver. The
wingman, after a slight delay (for aircraft deconfliction) will execute an identical pop. The "Z"
diagram dive parameters (Figure 6-12) and student attack comm procedures are identical to
previously detailed pop attacks.
