CHAPTER TEN
NOTE
While engaging turns are standard in tactical aviation, the above
turn sequences (i.e., ICITT, TICIT etc.) are training tools unique to
VT-86.
ICITT
An ICITT will displace a section laterally from its initial position. Figure 10-9 illustrates an
ICITT flown to the right. If, for example, the section in Figure 10-9 was heading south at the
commencement of the turn sequence, an ICITT right (shown) will displace the flight towards the
west. An ICITT left on the other hand would displace the section to the east. At the completion
of an ICITT, the section will still be headed in its original direction.
