If charted--instructions omitted except direction,
unless
(1) Pilot requests
(2) Controller considers instructions necessary

If not charted
(1) Fix
(2) Direction from fix
(3) Radial or bearing
(4) Leg length if DME
(5) Altitude if different than present assigned
(6) Turn direction only if
(a) Left turns
(b) Pilot requests
(c) Controller considers necessary
(7) Expect further clearance (EFC) time
(8) Expect approach clearance (EAC) time
NOTE: Unless a nonstandard pattern is
published or designated by the controller by
stating "left turns" in the clearance, the
pattern is always standard.
