GCA Procedures
REFRESHER
Recall that:
*
Approach information provided, communication
procedures, and even some of the flight techniques
for GCAs are the same as you learned in the T-34C
*
Speeds and descent rates on glideslope will be
greater than in the T-34C
*
T-45C scan techniques will differ slightly from those
you learned in the T-34C because of differences in
instrument location and aircraft performance
*
Most T-45 student instrument training is
accomplished from the AFT cockpit, where the
instrumentation is very similar to the FWD cockpit.
However, some differences exist, such as the HUD.
These should be kept in mind.
