(a) Upright
i)
Add military power and
retract speed brakes
ii)
Apply stick pressure to
obtain 5-10 units AOA
iii) Lower nose to slightly
below horizon
(b) Inverted

Add military power and
Nose High Inverted
retract speed brakes
ii)
Apply back stick to obtain
optimum AOA
iii) Pull nose through horizon
(4) At minimum of 150 KIAS, level the
wings in shortest direction
COMMON ERROR: Leveling
wings prior to attaining 150 KIAS.
(5) Pull nose to horizon using
optimum AOA recovery to
minimize loss of altitude
(6) Readjust power for normal flight
