Common errors for loose deuce exercise
a.
Problem: wingman fails to react to lead's "Hard right/left
turn" call
Correction: turn aircraft upon lead's order
b.
Problem: free fighter fails to acquire visual on engaged
fighter after reversal (usually in high cover)
Corrective action: respond to lead's instructions of where
to look and, if necessary, how to fly the aircraft in order to
reacquire visual expeditiously
c.
Problem: free fighter fails to maintain outside engaged
fighter's turn and loses sight
Correction: reduce AOB slightly so as to drift to outside of
turn and reacquire visual
d.
Problem: wingman breaks 500-ft bubble
Correction: maintain aircraft separation
